We loved our stay at Baywatch on Bella Vista. Beautiful views and such a quiet tranquil spot. House was clean, warm and very cosy. Loved the large lounge area with comfy couch. Beds were comfy! Place was nice and warm. Thanks so much for having us.

The property is as described and clean. The view is much better seen in person and the photos on the website just don’t do it justice! Thank you very much to Anna and Bernie for accommodating our request for extra items. We had a lovely stay. Thank you very much, Nur

We had the most magical stay at Baywatch. The house is wonderfully appointed with absolutely stunning views of the water and Whakanewha Regional Park and beach - surrounded by beautiful mature bush and birdlife. We spent our days reading our books and lounging on the wraparound deck, BBQs in the evening and absolutely beautiful walks and swims at Rocky Bay. We slept so soundly at night and the stars were just incredible over the water. True paradise.

A beautiful escape with amazing views, and tuis and kereru galore. We came back feeling refreshed and relaxed. It is the most special spot to relax and unwind with a spacious open plan living area, comfortable beds, and only a short drive from the vineyards, restaurants, supermarkets etc. Will definitely return.

Just magic! We loved this spot for a winter weekend getaway. It has a cosy open plan living area with amazing views of the water and a wood burner fire. Lovely comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Only a short drive from all the action on the island but when you are there you truly feel like you are away from it all. Like I said – magic..!

Would highly recommend this home to stay for its amazing location. Very peaceful sitting on the deck surrounded by bush overlooking the bay. Walk inside to a open warm comfortable lounge. Beds were great. Had a wonderful time here .

'We loved our stay at 6 Bella Vista! The view is absolutely stunning, coupled with the quiet serenity of the surrounding bush and bird life make for the perfect spot for a morning coffee. The Bach has its own access directly down to the walkway that takes you to the Whakanewha regional park were you can do all of the many beautiful walks. Just walk 5 mins down the road to the peaceful beaches that have excellent swimming as it is very calm, and only a 10 min drive down the road is the large Countdown (and best pizza takeaways). The house has a kitchen well stocked with everything you need, a fireplace that is super cosy to light in the evenings when it cools down, and two very comfy queen beds and was even perfect for us with our two young kids as there was also a kids bedroom! Perfect peaceful escape away from the hustle of life in Auckland, we had the best Easter and hope to be back again soon!'

Enjoy your glass of wine on the deck, listen to the bird song and watch the constantly changing colours of the bay and sky throughout the day. You will never want to leave.

You will have direct access to the regional park at the bottom of the property, and scenic tracks that take you down to Whakanewha beach where a swim at high tide in summer is a must. Inside, the large lounge is perfect for that book and afternoon snooze, and in winter the wood burner will keep you cosy and warm. Boredom is not an option with the basket chock-a-block full of entertaining board games, with the flat screen TV (with Sky and Netflix) your last resort.

Dinner for six is on order in the separate dining area where you can watch the evening gently close in over Whakanewha bay.

With two bathrooms and plenty of indoor and outdoor space, there is ample room and private places for everyone.

The spacious, well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances is perfect for those who love to cook and don’t worry coffee lovers – there is a coffee machine just for you.

Wander down the road to the famous Rocky Bay Hall café which is open on Saturday and Sunday mornings and for those with fitness in mind, the coastal walking track starting not far from the hall can take you all the way to Matiatia where the ferry docks.
